SubroIQ is seeking a Property & Casualty Litigation Attorney as we continue to grow our team! Property & Casualty Litigation Attorney’s are responsible for direct handling of a specific docket of large dollar Property and Workers Compensation files. The responsibilities will be twofold: Investigation of large losses and the handling of the files to a conclusion. Additionally, the Property & Casualty Litigation Attorney will be responsible for the investigation of a complex/critical event that could have subrogation potential based on initial review but requires more in-depth analysis to validate a recovery opportunity can be proven. In-depth investigation could include hiring of external investigation services (i.e.: cause & origin expert), telephone interviews with all parties involved, obtainment of supporting documents needed to provide theory of liability and making recommendations to clients. The responsibility of this position will include the management of expenses on these files to prompt and equitable conclusion. This position will also be responsible for handling large/complex files to their conclusion within the settlement guidelines set forth by P&C Division and its clients. This will include but not be limited to having contact with all parties involved in the file to ensure the maximum legal recovery is made on each file.

Job Responsibilities:
- Point of contact for clients on assigned files
- Current knowledge of all relevant State and Federal law.
- Review of all files to identify legal theories of subrogation or right of recovery.
- Sending appropriate letters on all new events.
- Knowledge and application of proper file handling procedures in accordance with Best Practices, Compliance and Quality Assurance standards.
- Maintain up to date file documentation of claim status as well as status of any pending litigation involving the tort claim or a derivative of the same in every event.
- Resolve all files for maximum recovery value through advanced negotiation techniques.
- Produce settlement screens on all resolved events in accordance with Best Practices for File Handling.
- Draft or generate any and all settlement documents needed to conclude payment on files and closure of same.
- Insure clients are kept up to date on progress of each claim.
- One or more active law licenses
- Minimum of one year work experience within in the insurance industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven negotiation ability.
- Good working knowledge of tort law and civil procedure.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately.
- Ability to appropriately and professionally represent Trover Solutions’ clients in settlement negotiations and conferences.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Strong motivation and desire to maximize results for Trover Solutions clients.
- Ability to be creative in formulating arguments to maximize recovery results.
